A security analyst who builds the web after hours.

I'm Chase Crowell — Maine-based, with a Bachelor's in Cyber Security from Thomas College. By day I work in cybersecurity, watching for the things that go wrong when software is built carelessly.

Crowell Studios is where I do the building. I write websites by hand and bring the same instinct from my day job to every project: code I can read, hosting I set up and manage, and systems I keep an eye on after launch.

Outside of client work I'm usually tinkering with side projects and game servers for fun — it's where a lot of what I know got its start. The point of all of it is the same: you work directly with the person writing your code and managing your hosting, not a faceless platform.
